Michael Smith and Alex Torok started out as apprentices at James Purdey & Sons and formed a lifelong friendship. About 15 years ago they started to freelance for the gun trade on best London Guns. A few years after this they started making their own quality Shotguns and Double Rifles under the brand name of Smith & Torok. Each piece is hand crafted and at times tailored and personalised to the client’s specifications.
They also offer bespoke quality cases, covered in London Oak Bark and lined in goatskin. Nicky Oliver has been a great asset to Smith & Torok using her talented bookbinding skills to line our cases.
Unfortunately Michael passed away but the Smith and Torok brand continues with the help of many skilled British craftspeople.
