the noble game of elephant and castle
This was an enclosure made for two delicate items; an old fold out game board and it’s accompanying rule book from the 19th Century. I wanted for there to be minimal handling of the objects so the book and the game board have moveable and removable platforms.
All of the materials used are archival grade and the colours were chosen to compliment. The structure of the case has a built in "lip". This creates a seal when the box is closed which prevents dust and impurities from getting in and causing further damage to the delicate pieces.
